Acceptance Sampling Model for the Effects of Plasma Ghrelin using Fuzzy Exponential Distribution

    Get PDF
In statistical quality control one of the most significant tools is the acceptance sampling plan. It plays an essential role in solving the problems involving the theory of probability distribution and fuzzy probability distribution. Ghrelin expression in the stomach and Ghrelin levels in plasma are increased after prolonged fasting and decreased in response to feeding. The results are reliable and we have shown that by means of acceptance sampling model using fuzzy exponential distribution, there is a considerable change of Ghrelin levels in plasma. Information and communications technology ( ICT) has played a major role in libraries. Libraries have now been completely dependent on providing new services to its users based on ICT. Present days the open source major role and impact in a academic libraries. To manage vast amount of digital information, libraries need some computer applications which takes care of their requirements. These applications are generally developed by commercial vendors or are available under open source license terms and conditions. In the present paper, an overview of range of open source initiative library services. Library professionals can effectively use these open sources initiative to provide innovative services to their users and without involvement of any of large budget

Determination of Material Parameters during Superplastic Forming of AA 5086 Alloy

    Get PDF
AbstractSuperplastic forming (SPF) process is an important advanced manufacturing method that has the benefit of certain materials capability to undergo large strains to failure when deformed atprominent temperature and at lesser strain rates. The major problem encountered during the Superplastic Forming of sheet metals, is the vagueness in determining the specific time necessary for attaining the steady state temperature, forming time by the sheet material to arrive the required geometry for a given input parameters such as pressure and temperature, thickness distribution along the profile. Hence in this work, a steady state equation is derived to determine the approximate time for the sheet metal to attain the set temperature and also the most favorable temperature and pressure necessary for achieving the deformation of the workpiece based on equal thickness distribution is determined. Graphs are plotted to show the varying parameters at different temperature and pressure values

Hydrography of the Andaman sea during late Winter

179-189Distributions of temperature, salinity, density and dissolved oxygen during late winter in the Andaman Sea are presented by series of vertical sections and spatial distribution charts; study of the field of motion on dynamic computations is also included. Surface temperature exceeds 28°C over most of the northern Andaman Sea. Surface salinity increases from 31.0% in the northern regions to 32.8% in the southern regions. Density distribution in the upper 50 m is primarily controlled by the salinity distribution. Below the sill depth (1300 m), the water mass is characterized by uniform values of temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen. Geostrophic circulation in the upper layer indicates the formation of cells (100-200 km), and the upper layer dynamics seem to be governed by the fresh water discharge into the region

PHYTOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS AND ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF SWIETENIA MAHAGONI – A HIGHLY MEDICINAL PLANT IN INDIA

The present study was designed to evaluate the phytochemical analysis and antibacterial activity of Swietenia mahagoni leaf extract. The leaf extract was subjected to a variety of phytochemical analysis. The qualitative phytochemical tests exhibited the presence of common phytocompounds like alkaloids, tannins, saponins, phlobatannins, flavanoids, terpenoids and volatile oils as major active constituents. The plant (Swietenia mahagoni) leaf has valuable medicinal uses, hence petroleum ether (18.2g) was found to be a good solvent for the phytochemical and antibacterial study. Similarly, the Methanolic leaf extract of Swietenia mahagoni has highest zone of inhibition on Bacillus subtilis

High origin of radial artery: a comparative, anatomical and embryological consideration

    Get PDF
Background: Radial artery is one of the terminal branches of the brachial artery arising in the cubital fossa about 1 cm below the bend of the elbow. Diversions of the radial artery from its normal anatomical pattern as regards to its origin or its course constitute the largest group of vascular variations of the upper extremity. Unusual origin of the radial artery may cause failure of transradial approach for percutaneous coronary angiography and difficulty in the reconstructive surgery of the upper limb. Methods: The present study was conducted in the Department of Anatomy at LLRM Medical College on 16 formalin fixed cadavers (12 male and 4 female) of adult age group i.e. 32 upper limbs. Axilla and arm was carefully dissected. Axillary artery and brachial artery were dissected and its branching pattern was observed to note the origin of radial artery. The course of radial artery was noted in each case. Results: Radial artery took origin from the third part of the axillary artery in 3.12%. It arose 2 cm above the lower border of teres major, coursed superficial to median nerve in the arm and continued in the forearm as such. The brachial artery after giving its branches continued as ulnar artery in the forearm. In 96.88%, radial artery arose normally in cubital fossa. Conclusions: High origin and superficial course of the radial artery may be hazardous and vulnerable to injury during venepuncture and surgical procedures. This type of anomaly is due to failure of formation of the communicating branch between superficial brachial artery and axial artery at level of elbow. Awareness about details and topographic anatomy of such variations may help to prevent diagnostic errors, influence surgical tactics and interventional procedures.
